Yes you can sell newspapers but you will need to source your supply of newspapers from the main newspaper and magazine wholesalers, here in the UK as WWMD do not sell newspapers.
Do I have to sell loads of different titles?
No, you may select to just sell one or maybe two titles that are applicable to your stores core business, although of course, the more different amount of magazines you sell in store the more money you make.
Is there a minimum delivery?
No, you may select to receive just one title, although a minimum of 5 copies of the magazine are recommended in order to give visibility and availability to the title.
Who do I contact to discuss the opportunity further?
Please contact Chris Lynn at Marketforce or Mark Sheridan at WWMD, alternatively click here. (contact us page)
How does my Standing Order work?
Your magazine requirements are kept on a standing order system, which
means you will continue to receive the same quantity until you advise us
otherwise.
Copy standings orders are available by request if you wish to review your
order. This can be faxed, posted, e-mailed or included in a future delivery.
What if my requirements change?
If your requirements change at anytime you can make alterations to your orders by phone, fax or e-mail. Smaller order changes will take immediate effect although large increases or decreases may take an issue or two as magazines are ordered approximately two months in advance from the publisher.
What if I run out of a particular Magazine?
If you sell out of a particular we do carry small amounts of overstock from
which we can supply you with additional copies although this operates on a
first come first serve basis.
If no overstocks are available then we will increase your order from the next
available issue.
How are the magazines delivered?
Your magazines will be despatched and delivered to you via Securicor/DHL Express on a standard next day service. Our boxes are easily recognised as they carry the unique Worldwide Magazine logo on them.
What discount will I receive for selling magazines?
All magazines are offered at 20% discount off the cover price.
All copies are supplied on a full sale or return basis (providing all unsold
copies are claimed within the time frame advised). There are two options
available to you:

How do I deal with returns / unsold copies?
The procedure for returning unsold magazines is simple, so please use
the following as a guide: -
>Only return the front cover of Decanter as returns postage is paid by you.
>Please enclose a completed returns form showing clearly your store name,
cover date and the quantity you are claiming.
>If you do not use your own return paperwork please include a compliments
slip or letterhead so that our Returns Department can easily identify your
returns and credit your account.
>It would be helpful if returns were not sent in boxes.
"Please help us to help you . magazine covers must be returned by the deadline
given on the original delivery note. The deadlines are set so that we can make
a claim to the publisher in sufficient time. Once this deadline has passed
Worldwide Magazine Distribution Ltd are unable to issue credit".
Display - Best Practice
>Display magazines in a dedicated magazine area or alternatively
with associated products.
>Show full cover where possible.
>Do not continue to display out of date titles when new issues are received.
(Return unsold copies for credit immediately a new issue is received)
>Bagged Issues: Open one copy for display purposes.
>Check display as often as possible, your display can become untidy.
>A good magazine display will increase your sales and attract customers to
your shop.
